The LS29 Social ethos
Whether you ride on the road, the moors or trails, at LS29 Social we welcome those who like to get out on their bikes. We encourage all our members to be fully insured, as we all know cycling can be a dangerous sport. We have regular weekly rides, which are social in their nature and aim to respect the road and trails shared with other users. For our first year, membership is free and bring with it the discounts displayed below. Follow us to keep updated with ride info and events.

Whats happening at LS29 Social…
Our regular social road rides happen on Mondays and Sundays – and through the summer we aim to ride on Thursdays, leaving from Commute Cafe. The MTB group ride is on Thursday approximate times below. Follow us on Instagram to keep up to date.
Every Monday – 6.15pm, 2 hour ride
Thursday during the summer – 6.15pm, 2 hour ride
Thursday MTB – 7.00pm, 2 hour ride
Sunday ride – 8.30am, 2/3 hour ride
Read Ride Terms
The LS29 Social are as our name suggests are social rides – We meet from 6 at The Commute Yorkshire cafe and leave at 6:30pm. We are typically out for 2 to 2 and a half hours, cycling approximately 20/30 miles, with average speeds designated in each ride.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order and properly maintained. Bring along water, basic bike repair kit and suitable clothing for Yorkshire weather. During winter make sure you have mud-guards and fully working lights! Riders participate at their own risk and to have their own insurance, we recommend British Cycling ride insurance.
No-one gets left behind on a LS29 Social ride – always waiting at the top of hills etc. Post ride celebration drinks in Ilkley. Everyone welcome.
